I am an educator, technology builder and social innovation practitioner. I have built education technology in Nigeria, contributed to national digital skills work, and now lead academic teams in UK higher education. All of it serves one aim: helping more people reach learning and opportunity that would otherwise pass them by.

I was born and raised in Northern Nigeria, a region with one of the largest populations of out-of-school children in the world. Growing up, educational inequality was not a statistic to me. It was visible on ordinary streets, in the lives of children the system had simply never reached.
I was fortunate. School worked for me, and it carried me to an engineering degree in the UK. The question that has shaped my career since is a simple one: what would it take for learning to work that well for everyone else?
Everything I have built since then, from learning platforms to national skills frameworks to academic teams, is a different attempt at answering it.

What I am working towards
Today I lead an academic team in UK higher education, where widening participation is daily, practical work rather than a slogan. Alongside that, I am deliberately learning the craft of early-stage investment.
I am increasingly interested in how patient, well-placed capital can help useful social innovations grow without losing sight of the people they are meant to serve.
Building products taught me what founders need. Teaching taught me how people actually learn and change. The next chapter is about helping good ideas find the backing they deserve.

Every week I send subscribers a short email pointing to UK events worth attending across digital technology, EdTech, social innovation, impact investment and the Nigerian founder community, along with a brief note on what I am building. Readers write back, and that exchange is the point.
